What You Can Do

Under Apache-2.0, you may:

  • Use the materials for any purpose (commercial or non-commercial)
  • Modify and create derivative works
  • Distribute original or modified versions
  • Include in proprietary products

Requirements

When using AIMO Standard materials:

  1. Include the license notice in distributions
  2. Provide attribution (see NOTICE.txt)
  3. State significant modifications (if any)
  4. Do not use trademarks without permission (see Trademarks)

Third-Party Components

AIMO Standard may include or reference third-party components. Each component retains its original license.

Q: Can I use AIMO Standard in commercial products? A: Yes, Apache-2.0 permits commercial use.

Q: Do I need to open-source my implementation? A: No, Apache-2.0 does not require derivative works to be open-sourced.

Q: Can I modify the schemas? A: Yes, but you must note modifications and cannot claim conformance with modified schemas.
