While trademark applications are pending:

  • Permitted: "trademark application pending", "TM" symbol (optional)
  • Prohibited: "Registered trademark", ® symbol, registration numbers

Permitted Uses

Descriptive References

You may use AIMO marks to describe compatibility:

  • "Compatible with AIMO Standard"
  • "Implements AIMO Standard v0.0.1"
  • "Exports evidence in AIMO Standard format"

Requirements:

  1. Meet all MUST requirements in the specification
  2. Pass the official validator without rule modifications
  3. State the specific version

Academic Use

You may cite AIMO Standard in:

  • Academic papers
  • Research publications
  • Training materials (with attribution)

Prohibited Uses

Prohibited Reason
Using "AIMO" as your product/company name Creates confusion
Claiming "Certified AIMO" without certification No certification program exists
Using marks in domain names Conflicts with official resources
Implying official endorsement Misleads users

What You Cannot Claim

  • "AIMO Certified" (no certification program)
  • "Official AIMO implementation" (unless maintainer)
  • "Endorsed by AIMO Standard"
